Don’t make someone who offered you nothing but love feel like a fool. Whether it's your parents, siblings, friends or significant others. No matter how much kindness you extend, how deeply you care, or how generously you give, how someone responds is entirely up to them. You can’t control it. And you shouldn’t try. The most liberating way to live is to give freely, without expectation. What you offer will return to you in folds, though not always from the same person or place. That’s the truth we must learn to accept. Life is unpredictable. People are unpredictable.
